Thought Leader

The Entrepreneurial Passport

We have far more in common than that which divides us.

That's what I've learned from living in 4 countries and traveling to 68.

I love being invited to speak at events and conferences, because it's often an often to travel (even if only virtually) and to learn. Being considered a thought leader has opened up the world to me, as it's allowed to travel to and learn from countries including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, China, Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Kenya, Lebanon, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Poland, Russia, Spain, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Turkey, the UAE and Ukraine.

The topics that I've covered (as demonstrated by the photos and videos below) include:

  • Investing in start-ups (based on generating a $1.6 billion portfolio of 190 companies);

  • Fundraising tips for founders (based on my start-ups having raised $254m in 3rd-party funding);

  • Open innovation (based on running an incubation arm and early-stage fund of a large corporate for 9 years in Spain and the UK);

  • Diversifying entrepreneurship (based on various board positions, articles written in Forbes and lived experience);

  • Diversifying venture capital (based on various board positions, articles written in Forbes and lived experience); and

  • Building ecosystems globally (based on years of building ecosystems in the US, UK and Europe).
